Across on tour

After five editions, the Across lecture series is co-produced by the ICA, A+ Architecture in Belgium and the Vlaams Architectuurinstituut (VAi). The series features three meetings at which eight young French- and Dutch-speaking architects present their practice at three emblematic Belgian redevelopment sites: the UCL Faculty of Architecture in Tournai, the deSingel Cultural Centre in Antwerp, and the MAD Fashion and Design Museum in Brussels. Accompanied by an accredited architect, the eight architects or architectural practices selected to take part will present one of their projects on the common theme of transformation in architecture. These three evenings will be concluded with an exhibition at MAD in Brussels in the summer of 2023.

The eight selected architects have different profiles. They work on a large and/or small scale; they develop collaborative or individual practices, as well as theoretical, speculative or even utopian projects. They have been chosen to represent a qualitative, broad and varied panorama of the young Belgian architectural scene, in terms of the vision, references and architectural language used in their daily practice.
