Réappropriations in Graz
Réappropriations, presented from November 4 to 22, 2025, at the Institute of Urbanism, TU Graz, explores spatial strategies to repair our damaged world. First shown in Louvain-la-Neuve in 2023, the exhibition adapts to new contexts and audiences with a renewed form in Graz, Austria.
The featured projects promote densifying existing buildings instead of consuming new land, regenerating rather than demolishing, and reusing construction materials. Models, photographs, films, and drawings create a dialogue between these completed works and the book Inventories #4, 2020-2023: Towards a regenerative approach to architecture. Published by the Architecture Unit of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and curated by the Cultural Institute of Architecture Wallonia-Brussels (ICA), this work supports architectural practices that drive spatial, environmental, and social transition.
Six architectural projects located in Wallonia and Brussels, developed by the architecture firms AgwA, Artau Architectures, Label Architecture, Notan Office, Olivier Fourneau Architectes, and Ouest Architecture x Rotor DC.
We invite you to the book presentation and lecture, on November 4, with the architectural offices AgwA and OUEST, who will share insights into their projects featured in the publication. On November 5, we warmly invite you to join us for the opening of the exhibition, an evening to discover the projects, and rethink new ways of building.
